Today, we will talk about AGI and how it can transform healthcare. In fact, it is not just about setting up the foundation but also debunking some myths in the healthcare industry about AGI.

My team talks to a lot of Doctors to find their viewpoints about the latest developments of tech – right from simple generative AI to the latest developments in AGI which can surpass general human intelligence.
Now, where do we start from? We surveyed through a lot of Doctors including a few with a public company, and there were 03 major (but not limited) myths that we came across :
1) AI can’t replace humans when it comes to conversational capabilities
2) AI can only aid human is making their life easier by doing computational work and give them data in summarised manner with great insights
3) AI can automate mundate and manual process only.
Now, one thing to note about these observations was that our sample size was really small and limited to Doctors above 50 in age. But now, let’s debunk these one by one.
Myth #1 : AI can’t replace humans when it comes to conversational capabilities
There was a time when AI was limited to chatbots with very limited workflow. This was the time before GenAI. Remember those Dialogflow Messenger bots where you would put conditions over everything to guide users in 1 of a few directions only?
That was when AI didn’t had conversational capabilities. Now, to my perspective, how I see technology this day is AI can even outperform humans in communications. Don’t believe me? See this demo and form a fresh opinion :
This video is definitely ages old but gives clear picture of how good GenAI is making conversations flow seamlessly. Integrate this with socratic thinking capabilities and there’s no going back to humans!
Myth #2 : AI can only aid human is making their life easier by doing computational work and give them data in summarised manner with great insights
At this point, I think Doctors should start learning more about what’s happening around the world (or can simply subscribe to our newsletter) and have their doors open for how the future of technology-aided patient interaction would look like.
We are not using just ANNs to do bank fraud predictions anymore. We have developed GenAI (generating quality content), working on Agentic AI (letting AI use software & hardware to do a task end-to-end), heading towards AGI (AI surpassing human intelligence).
Let me show the future of AI-first decision-making and conversation quality (trust me, you have never seen this before) :
This demo is not just about real-time file-uploading and changing the AI twin’s conversational flow but also about a new interactive technology we are developing called FBLR or filler-based latency reduction, which is inspired by Steve Jobs. What it does? Make AI great at reasoning, thinking and doing conversations.
Myth #3 : AI can automate mundate and manual process only
Saying that AI can only automate mundane and manual processes is a narrow and outdated view of its capabilities. And let me debunk this once and for everyone.
1. AI Goes Beyond Simplicity:
AI doesn’t just automate repetitive or mundane tasks—it handles complex and intellectually demanding processes as well. Examples include:
- Assisting in medical diagnosis (e.g., analyzing MRI scans).
- Predicting financial trends (e.g., stock market analysis).
- Supporting scientific research (e.g., drug discovery and climate modeling).
2. AI Excels in Creative Domains:
AI is increasingly being used in creative fields like art, music, writing, and filmmaking. For instance:
- Tools like DALL·E and ChatGPT can create original artwork and scripts.
- AI-powered music production software assists in composing and mixing tracks.
3. It Aids Decision-Making:
AI is not limited to simple tasks; it also plays a crucial role in complex decision-making. For example:
- Identifying patterns in data to suggest business strategies.
- Optimizing flight schedules for airlines.
4. Understanding Human Behavior:
AI has the ability to understand and respond to human emotions and needs:
- Virtual assistants like Alexa and Siri don’t just execute commands—they also personalize responses based on user behavior.
- Sentiment analysis helps organizations study public opinion on social media.
5. Advancing Cutting-Edge Technologies:
AI is a driving force behind advancements in various fields:
- Space exploration, like operating rovers on Mars.
- Autonomous vehicles, which rely on AI for navigation and decision-making.
Therefore,
AI is far more capable than just automating mundane and manual processes. It’s a transformative tool that contributes intelligence and creativity across industries.
Summing up..
GenAI is a gold-mine for healthcare. And real-time interactive avatars is something that can give Doctors the superpowers of being everywhere, every time, all at once. This is not a fancy add-on to your life but a curve in how you thought of scaling. If you are a Doctor or know one, please see more at Exthalpy.com or schedule a call here.
